10/17/13 We spent the night in our Pole Barn after winterizing the house before heading out on the 18th.
10/18/13 Great weather for our drive to Anderson Indian. We spent the first night in the Hoosier Park Casino and Race Track parking lot. We had a nice retirement dinner at the Steak House Restaurant trackside watching the Sulkie Trooter horse races. That was a first. We spent the second night here waiting out the rain. We didn't want to get the motorhome dirty after spending a week washing and waxing it before we left.
10/21/13 Traveled through Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas to Memphis, Tennessee. Lots of cotton fields in Missouri. We settled into the Graceland RV Park and Campground right next to Graceland and behind the Heartbreak Hotel. We took a free pink limo ride to Marlowe's Restaurant as seen on Dinner's, Drive-in's and Dive's for great Memphis barbecue.
10/22/13 Spent the day at Graceland seeing everything Elvis. Very interesting. Took the shuttle to Beale Street in downtown Memphis to listen to Blues Music and eating great ribs at Blue's City Café.
10/23/13 Had a day a rest before continuing on tomorrow on our journey to Texas.
10/24/13 Traveled from Memphis to the Texarkana, Texas Walmart for the night.
10/25/13 Traveled from Texarkana to a rest area north of Houston, spent the night at a very nice rest area.
10/26/13 Traveled through downtown Houston on our way to Harlingen, Texas. Traffic was not too bad for a Saturday morning, what a relief. We made it all the way to Fig Tree in Harlingen.
10/27/13 Crash day after a long travel day yesterday.
10/28/13 Spent the day getting the motorhome set up. Enjoyed a great Brisket pot luck dinner, such good cooks at Fig Tree.
10/29/13. Spent the day cleaning outside after the long journey.
10/30/13 Drove to Port Isabel for our favorite shrimp dinner at Pirate's Landing.
10/31/13 Inside house cleaning and enjoying the pool/hot tub
