2014 December

We arrived at Fig Tree, our winter home for 3 months.  After settling in for a week we packed up and went on a 2 week cruise out of Houston.  This was one to cross off our bucket list, we did a back to back cruise.  We were on the first week and then stayed on for the second week.  It was awesome, we didn't want to get off even after 2 weeks.  We did the same route both weeks, 2 days at sea, Belize, Roatan, Cozumel then a day at sea at the end.  Our first day we were delayed leaving Houston, the port was fogged in.  We left on Monday instead of Sunday but made up time at sea to visit all the ports.  We were on the beautiful Emerald Princess decked out for the holidays.

Our favorite watering hole in Belize with free wi-fi.  The Wet Lizard which is short for the "Husbands day care center".

Mahogany Bay Beach in Roatan is an awesome beach with great snorkeling. Many relaxing hours and trips have been logged here in our "spot".

The chair lift over to the beach has great views.  At the end of the day on our way back to the ship we take the round trip several times before exiting the chair.

Our second week on the cruise we were able to get on the Chef's Table listing, a 3 hour culinary experience with the head chef for 12 passengers.  We started with appetizers and refreshments in the Galley while main dinner was in progress. Dinner preparation and execution was a very interesting experience to watch.

After appetizers we moved to the dining room for an awesome dinner with so many courses.  We were stuffed by the end but what a great culinary experience.  If you ever have the chance we would highly recommend it.

Coming into Belize via the Tenders.

Pancho's Backyard is our favorite Mexican watering hole in Cozumel.  Great margarita's and one is plenty if you want to make it back to the ship.

Belinda dancing on stage with Mark, one of the entertainer's.  Well worth a free bottle of champagne.

We arrived safe back at Fig Tree just before Christmas.  We had a wonderful Christmas Eve, Christmas dinner and a great New Years Eve celebration with our Fig Tree friends.
