2014 April

April 5-12 we did the Western Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess out of Houston.  We had a nice relaxing cruise and received a very nice unexpected upgrade to a balcony which we thoroughly enjoyed.  First day was a relaxing day at sea and the second day we spent at the beach in Cozumel.  The third day we spent at Mahogany Bay Beach in Roatan.  The fourth day, Jerry's birthday was spent in Belize City enjoying a refreshment, chips, salsa and people watching.  The last 2 days were at sea and very calm with great weather.  We celebrated our 34th Wedding Anniversary at the Chef's Table Dinner, it was a 3 hour dining experience which included a tour of the galley during dinner.  Jerry has always wanted to see the kitchen in action.  It was very clean and well organized.  The food and wine were all very delicious.  We would highly recommend it if you ever have the opportunity and like great food.

We spent the week after the cruise packing up and getting ready to head home.  Our journey home started on Friday, April 18th.  Our first night was in a Walmart west of Houston.  Our drive around Houston on Saturday morning was very nice with not much traffic.  Saturday night was in the Texarkana, TX Walmart.  Taking a day of rest in West Memphis, Arkansas along the Mississippi River in the Tom Sawyer RV Park watching the barges go up and down the Mississippi.  We should be home by the end of the week after a few more Walmart nights.
