Our first event in February
was the South Padre Island Kite Festival.
Professional kite flyers from around the country performed synchronous kite
flying to music. We have never seen
anything like it, very amazing.
We spent our days with lots
of walk fit exercise and line dancing.
The Theme Day at Fig Tree
was Western Days this year. The
committee outdid themselves with awesome decorations and activities. Cowboy fun was had by all. We ended the day
with a dance and campfire with smores.
Hats and Bags was the theme
at the Fig Tree Ladies Luncheon.
Wonderful homemade salads and deserts were enjoyed by all.
We enjoyed the Charro Fiesta
Days Parade in Brownsville
We enjoyed one of our
favorite eateries, Colletti’s. The goat
cheese terrine is our favorite go to appitizer.
