2016 - February

February was a little busier.  We spent a day on South Padre Island at Clayton’s Beach Bar.  Great day of reading, segwaying and margarita’s on the beach.  We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Pirate’s Landing, our favorite restaurant in Port Isabel.

 

We did a second Segway Tour at Bensten Palms State Park.  It was a great weather day with lots of bird sightings. Lunch after at the Riverside Club along the Rio Grande River.  The biggest Pork Tenderloin sandwiches we have ever seen. 

After a root canal and crown replacement Belinda was finally able to enjoy a Margarita in Progresso after the permanent crown was put on. We love going to Progresso, MX

We had a great day at Boca Chica Beach, the farthest south you can go outside of Brownsville.  Great friends, kite flying, food and refreshments on the “new to us” beach.

Everyone had a great time at the 50’s Theme Day celebration this year.  Balloon races, hula hoop contests, root beer floats and great hamburgers and hot dogs. 

We spent another day at Bensten Palms State Park with friends riding bikes and hiking through the trails to see the birds before they start migrating north.  A great day was had by all. 

 

 

We had very sad news, Belinda’s Aunt Mickey passed away in Pittsburgh.  Aunt Mickey was the last sibling of Belinda’s Dad, we have many wonderful memories with her. We traveled to Pittsburgh for the funeral.  We were lucky to get in and out before a small winter storm came through.
